Laser Hair Removal
How It Works

The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the hair follicle and converted to heat. The heat damages the hair follicle while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. This damage will result in the follicle no longer being able to sustain the growth of the hair.

Laser hair removal can be carried out on most areas of the face and body. The Gentle Laser treatment has a patented cryo-cooling system, so you can be assured that the treatments are not painful, as the skin is cooled during treatment. With a larger treatment spot, shorter pulse durations, higher repetition rates and significantly more energy, the GentleMax Pro Plus platform is providing practitioners with even more treatment versatility and positive outcomes across a variety of indications. The treatment time itself is dependent on the size of the area to be treated and can range from 5 mins for an upper lip or chin or up to 30 mins for full legs.

The Hair Cycle

There are three phases of hair growth every time a new hair is developed, and it’s important to understand that our hair does not grow all at once. While one hair might be in the first stage of hair growth, the one next to it might be in the last. In the Anagen phase, you can see visible hair above the skin, which is still attached to the papilla of the hair follicle. This is the stage where laser hair removal works well.

Only shave don't wax after treatment

Please note that after treatment, your hair will still be growing, and you will notice that this is normal in a few days; do not wax, thread or epilate them. Remember, you are only shaving the area, trimming the hairs back, and we are not removing it from the root.
